The definition of stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances per Google. There is also happy stress such as buying a house or having a baby but those also put strain on the body. Merriam-Webster says stress is a state of mental tension and worry caused by problems in your life, work, etc. or it can be something that causes strong feelings of worry or anxiety. Can you relate to either of those definitions? If you are constantly under stress, that can lead to other physical illnesses. Some clients have given me feetback that their blood pressure has improved due to the extent of relaxation they receive. Reflexology promotes health not disease or illness of the body. Remember to be mindful of your breathing throughout the day. Are you deep breathing in your belly or are you shallow breathing in your chest? So slow down, take a couple deep breaths, and slowly exhale. You owe yourself one hour a week to totally de-stress and let go of all your worries.
